Upgrading a Type11 install - 01-04-2009, 09:32 PM
I'm currently using a v6.x install with 10.5.6. Everything works great, but I'd like to move up to a v7.5 install. Do I need to wipe everything and start fresh, or can I mount the EFI, delete key items (DSDT, sleep stuff, SDHC, etc) and then mount the new v7.5 ISO and run the miniscript with a new install?

I believe you should be able to download the 7.5 iso, mount it, and run the Miniscript from the desktop, performing a New Install.

Joking aside, my Mini seems to have everything working great - Sleep and Wake up works fine, Audio is working after waking up via sleepwalker (I'm still on 7.6). The only main issue I have is that whenever I perform a check or repair disk permission, I usually get a bunch of errors. I am also unable to reparition my drive using the Disk Utility either.
