Default Re: Upgrading a Type11 install - 01-08-2009, 07:06 PM

I had a problem a few days ago with my 7.5 install in which the OS wouldn't boot up. Eventually I decided to start over with 7.7 but when I tried to partition the 16gb STEC OSX said it couldn't do it. I was concerned that it might be bad as I got the machine from the dell outlet just a few days ago. Strangely, when I ran the Dell XP reinstallation CD it WAS able to partition and format the drive, and after that OSX was also. I have 7.7 up and running but had to use XP to get past the partitioning errors. Since then I've verified the SSD every which way but it seems fine so far. If you can't partition try the XP disks, or maybe ubuntu if that's what you have.

Dell Mini 9 | Mac OS X 10.6.1 | 2 GB RAM | 32 GB Runcore
BIOS A05 | USB Legacy Mode: OFF | Internal Bluetooth
