ditto on long time to update, but NBI ran automatically and I have 10.6.3 running without issues.

Mini 10v (Black) - BIOS A06 - Mac OS X 10.6.0 - 1GB RAM - 320GB HDD (7200 rpm) - NBM via USB - NBI (ending with 51) - Legacy Off

Had a happy 10.6.6 machine and updated to 10.6.7, but no love...maybe I'll do a vanilla install...but probably not.

Still no internal mic though.

updated fine, no issues.

funny, About this Mac thinks my processor is a 2.05ghz.

most people, even folks updating with real macs, will have to reset their display preferences if they have anything but the default as their setting...

*Installed NBI 0.8.4RC1, Ran and rebooted.
*Download and install the COMBO 10.6.3. (I NEVER use the Delta pkg.)
*Rebooted
*My machine looked like it was going to reboot twice, the NBI logo will come on the screen THIS RAN FOR 5-10MIN! let it run!
*Machine will reboot with the Apple logo AGAIN HAVE PATIENCE
*My machine had no audio source. I then rebooted again and audio returned.

Everything appears ok even after disk permissions repair and reboot.

THANKS MEKLORT!
I think I'll try your method and report back here how it went. Downloading the combo update off Apple server... 897 Mb... Patience is a virtue.

I was able to update without a problem, I just had to have some patience, but really it wasn't that long of a wait anyways. Thanks Meklort for making it possible for us to update.

Did my 10v just like this. It worked perfectly. Take your time and plug it in. thanks Meklort and thanks Jesus.

UPDATE>>Worked ok on my 10v single SL 10v. On my dual boot 10V Everytime I installed 8.4 rc1 I would get an immediate kernal panic. I could past the kernal panic by starting up with -v. I reinstalled 8.3 Rc5 and it runs fine. I never got a chance to install 10.6.3 on the dual boot 10v. Maybe 8.4 is not dual boot compatible for some reason.

I purged my system using a whole bunch of slimming tools since the installer demanded over 6GB of free space. I then ran NBI 0.8.4RC1 and did Software Update. The OSX install went smooth, just took forever on the last sliver of a the install. Then it rebooted to a NBI icon for a while. I let it run its course and came back to a Grey Screen of Death. I held down power, and powered the system back up again. It booted back into OSX with no issues and 10.6.3 installed. I was going from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3. Thank you.

My update to 10.6.3 went well

Downloaded NBI .8.4RC1, installed and rebooted.

Updated to 10.6.3 via Software Update in Apple menu, I did NOT do the combo update.

10v rebooted automatically. NBI came on screen for about 5 min, then rebooted into OS X. Everything seems fine but I just need to reinstall my OS X and Win 7 logos for the boot screen.

Default Went well . . . - 03-30-2010, 03:00 AM

Followed the script and all went well. Had to re-enter the manufacturer codes in BT, and it was a chore to discover my Apple BT keyboard, but it finally came together. Nice work, meklort and all the other pioneers here . . .
