Well I fixed it by ditching Extra/Extensions.mkext and manually installing the necessary kexts on s/l/e (checked what kexts were used on 10.6.2 0.8.3, copied those from 0.84rc1 +the sleepenabler for 10.6.3 and nullcpupowermanagement that 0.84rc1 does not use, and only placed those kexts but from the 0.8.4rc1) , manually rebuilding caches. I removed those new kexts for speedstep and kept the good old nullcpupowermanagent.
It sleeps, it wakes fine, performance is the same as on 10.6.2 but it's a fix for someone who knows what is doing.
btw: don't know it if matters but mine is running on mbr partition.

Updated to 10.6.3 on an 8Gb Mini9 with 2Gb Ram
Everything is fine, except, that when I wake from sleep, it can be fine for a while, then it crashes, usually when I try a different web access.
I also notice that the Airport icon can disappear, but if you click in it's space, it'll drop down choices.... but these include rubbish...
Never happens before sleep.
