Update to 10.6.3 worked like a charm
1. Downloaded and ran NBI 0.8.4 RC1, rebooted
2. Did software update, let install.
3. Reboot took 10 minutes, while NBI logo shown, then booted AOK
All appears to be working, including sleep.

I boot 10v and I had already updated and I get kernel panic and cannot get any further. Do I boot into USB with the updated NBI....help......

If you have a time machine back up try this How to recover a botched 10.6.3 install using time machine

One comment to add on my upgrade...on About This Mac, my processor now reads "1.6 Ghz Unknown", used to say CoreSolo....any ideas to fix?

Correct me if I am wrong but to make the usb drive you use an install disc with 10.6. You then update to 10.6.2 and run 0.8.3. cant you then just download 0.8.4 and do the 10.6.3 update afterwards rather than building it into the install.

has anyone tried to upgrade from 10.6 to 10.6.3 using the the new NBI ?

I am trying to upgrade from 10.6 to 10.6.3 using the new NBI. (8.4 RC1) Typing this post from another PC while the dell mini is being updated. Will post my results when complete.
