Default Decompress? - 12-30-2008, 04:48 AM

Would decompressing the drive be beneficial in Leopard (decompress-the-ssd--t202.html). If so, should I do it before I install Leopard (ie. in Windows XP) or can I do it inside Leopard?

Dell Mini 9 - Alpine White, 16 GB SSD, 1 GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.5.6 Leopard (Type11 method)

Totally a windows problem, not related to OSX at all.

Tired of wondering if your Mini9 is doing ANYTHING? - Add a HDD Activity LED

Not really a 'problem' really... It's done as a way to squeeze more onto the SSD, and makes some practical sense. However due to the Atom's bottleneck (re: speed) some find it best to disable it entirely. Pros and cons to both really...
