Thumbs down Warning do not use squeeze to compress!!! - 03-09-2010, 06:56 PM

DO NOT USE SQUEEZE TO COMPRESS YOUR DRIVE.
IT ALMOST TRASHED MY MINI 9 WHEN IT WENT TO SLEEP.

I installed squeeze and let my mini 9 go to sleep. In the morning the light was on steady and the machine was red hot. It was locked up solid so I shut it down. It would not reboot for about 1 hour. I tried it again the next night and the same thing. I uninstalled squeeze and now it sleeps fine and all is ok again. I reported the bug to the company and they have yet to reply!!!

USER BEWARE!!!!

Interesting. Both my mini 9 and macbook seem okay with it.

What exactly does Squeeze do? Does it compress selected folders or the entire drive?
I have it installed but I haven't used it yet.

I have been using it since the link was posted to get it for free with no issues whatsoever.

Maybe your mini's SSD already had issues?

If you want your mini to sleep you have to put squeeze into PAUSE!
The company has yet to answer my problem I had to find it myself.

Mine sleeps, all I have to do is close the lid. I've not adjusted it since I installed it. It is running with the default settings.
