| Member Posts: 91 Join Date: Dec 2009 | The disc you used to install OSX onto your Mini would work, but it has to be the original version and not NBI-ed. This is because to install onto your Mini, you had to have had a non-system specific disc. I would recommend just buying the SL disc from Apple for $29 just to be up to date. |

| Junior Member Posts: 25 Join Date: Mar 2009 | Well, it worked! Heres what I used. retail OS X 10.5.6 dvd iso mounted with transmac to a usb external drive. Power up holding C. Thats it. I just got this macbook refurbished and it had a brand new instal with iLife 08 taking up a total of 18gig! Thats why I wanted to do the fresh instal without ilife 08. My new install only took 8gig.
