get more screen real-estate and full screen chrome/firefox with this... - 02-10-2010, 07:10 PM
I just installed snow leopard on a new Mini 10V and with the smaller screen i found that browsing the net wasn't as good unless the app was full screen.
Chrome on mac doesnt allow full screen (yet) but i found this app
Eternal Storms Software - PresentYourApps
which basically lets you choose to hide or disable the menu bar (top) and dock (bottom) meaning im now browsing in effectively a full screen Chrome window
It should also work for itunes or any other app that you choose basically, cool huh!
To get to the menu/dock options just move the mouse to the top or bottom of the screen and it slides down.
I dont work for the company at all btw, i just did a bit of googling and came up with that app

I've been using PresentYourApps for a long time, thanks to a old thread here. The one problem I have is that hide menu+dock setting doesn't seem to work for me w/FF. It will work once, but the change doesn't seem to be persistent. Otherwise it's a must have.
Ah, here's an older one:
I miss the fullscreen firefox in OSX
It mentions an add-on I didn't know about, Full Fullscreen, will have to check that out.
|full screen chrome, more screen real estate, osx|
