Default Please I really need help, please help me. - 02-04-2010, 11:51 PM

I was trying to use my 150gb external HD as a boot disc for mac os x snow with no guides or help with installing to an external hard drive using transmac i tried to do it on my own.

Heres the steps i did.

- right clicked on external HD and formated to HFS+

- then i clicked on format with Disk Image then clicked on my Mac OS X Snow file and let it do its loading.

I then thought i had it so i restarted my computer and booted with that, only to find it saying insert something i can boot it with.

So i restarted and got back in windows 7 only to find that since i formatted the HD in an attempt to put on the OS, it no longer shows up in windows so i cant fix it.

So then i found my 8gb flash drive, only to find out its actually only 7.4gb so does anyone know a way to get the full 8 gbs on it, thanks.

There is no way to get all 8.0GB, because of the math involved.

8GB really means 7.4GB using the .93 rule.
