Hi, I was asking me about some problems with the 1012 and
snow leopard, because I want to install it, so I don't know
if somebody can tell me please which of these functions will not work:

Expose: (Does it works without accelerator?, )

Sound: (I read in some posts, and it looks that it works, but they say something
about "sound pop", sorry, but what does that means?)

Wallpaper: (a post says something about a problem with the display of pictures,
that happens with all the pictures or just with images of very high quality, 4mb?, Will I be able to change
the wallpaper?)

USB ports, Mic and Earphone jacks: (Do they work?)

I hope somebody can answer me, I'll appreciate it.

about "sound pop", sorry, but what does that means?) ====> yup there's a pop sound usually on first start or access of sound but it's too annoying ( at least for me). I believe there's a fix around though. Sound works

the wallpaper?) ====> just stay with 1024x600 wallpappers and you'll be OK. I have no problem with high quality ones

USB ports, Mic and Earphone jacks: ===> the only thing not working is the mic jack (my internal mic works so I find no need for this at the moment)

May I know how bad is it without the accelerator? Are YouTube and videos decent enough to watch? Also, have you tried Photoshop on the 1012? Many thanks in advance

video is ok for me just keep your mouse pointer out of the way cause it flickers

for youtube just dont play HD and it will be fine

haven't made the video out work (honestly haven't tested it)

Hi, sorry, here again with another question
well, I saw one of the guides in this thread
and it says that the retail dvd with 10.6.3 update
won't work, it won't work with nbm pre 0.8.4 pre?
because I want to buy it original and the only one
version that mac stores are selling
here in my country (Mexico) is the retail dvd with 10.6.3 update,
and it will be a problem to just waste my money.
If it doesn't work, what should I do?

Not sure about that because my CD is 10.6.0...

But I know .8.4pre worked perfectly with 10.6.3 ( up to now only .8.4pre works wel with 1012)

Rhycel, can you post the kexts you are using to get audio on your mini 1012? I don't managed to get audio to work under 10.6.4
