Default Which rename app is better? - 01-11-2010, 02:47 PM

I'm using Renamer right now. But it's not good and easy enough to rename.
I googled Rename Now and checked the website. Seems pretty simple to use. Plus the price is much cheaper than Renamer. Is someone trying it? If so, pls share your views on both app. Thx

I use Name Mangler, mostly because I'm too lazy to search for the ultimative tool.

You DO know about VersionTracker and MacUpdate, do you?

Not sure what you're using it for but I've always managed to get a bash script to work for bulk renaming

mini 9 | 2GB RAM | 16GB STEC SDD | BIOS A06, USB Legacy OFF | No Bluetooth | OSX 10.6.7 | NBI 0.8.5pre w/ ALC268 | Broadcom2Airport
MINI Cooper '02 | 1.6L | CVT | Moonroof | Red w/ White Stripes

Want the ALC268 mini 9 sound fix? Get it here

+1 what akki says...

Bash is the way to go. Sure it takes time to learn, but I learnt it over 20 years ago now, and still use it constantly. It'll do stuff that no renamer can come close to, and it's free.

The dock on my mini9 is safari, itunes and terminal! You literally would not believe some of the things I've done in bash.

Terminal is the most powerfull app on macos - learn it!!

[macos/bash hint: "open xxx" does the same as double clicking the file xxx!]
