Default How many bytes are on that DVD? - 12-19-2008, 03:41 AM

Some info on the OSX DVD please. How many bytes are on that thing? and if it is 8 gigs, can a regular DVD read the entire DVD? I have an external LG drive I picked up from Future Shop for 70.00 I also have a dual layer HP drive in my P4.

Thanks for the info

You should be able to read a dual layer DVD with any DVD drive. You can not of course, burn a dual layer DVD, without a dual layer burner. Honestly, I have never tried the above, but it should in theory read a dual layer DVD in the same way it can read a dual layer DVD movie (just fine on an old drive).
