Agreed! I used to take my Mini to my university's bookstore tech department all the time and the Apple reps were always confused and surprised. They never got angry, but it sure was fun explaining to them how it worked.

Of course, I wouldn't dare go to a real Apple store and flaunt it. They would probably kill me.

Default I was a little nervous - 12-23-2009, 06:38 AM

Simply put I was a little nervous. Rep 1 came up to me asking what they could do to help me (the store was VERY busy with holiday shoppers) In mid sentence she paused as I opened the Dell Mini 9 (already navigated to this site) and asked if iLife worked well on smaller resolutions, and also if there were any more of the coveted Magic Mouse left. Sort of stunned she answered my questions.

She was pretty cool with it, also I started a conversation with another Rep about my t-shirt (it has the text "Han shot first"), so it was all good until the last Rep showed up and stated that I couldnt have any unauthorized hardware on premise. I quickly replied that it was running OSX and that I was currently being helped with a purchase. He shrugged and I got rang up for my stuff.

I tried to get my partner to grab a photo of the cooler Reps with my Hackintosh, but I have a feeling they declined due to circumstances.

PS: I just updated from RC4 to RC5. Everything but the Mic works (you already knew that).

I would think that tech-geeks would love it regardless. I showed my Mini to a friend yesterday and today he's placing an order with Dell for a 10v of his own. He already has an iMac and a MacBook so he really likes the idea of a MiniMac.

You should have brought it to the Genius Bar.

"Sir, my mic doesn't work. Help?"
