Well, I got the 10v back 13 days after shipping it to them. The trackpad and keyboard were replaced, and the 2GB of memory I installed was still there. I had re-installed the XP hard drive to avoid any issues about OS-X.

However, for no apparent reason, they reverted the BIOS from A05 to A03. Curious.

Bottom line, as expected, they just want to fix the machine and get it shipped back, so the repair department can make their numbers...

Yeah, I can't see they care. Being the system doesn't even boot to the OS that came on it to run any diags, or even from the diag partition, they will probably just make sure it posts, boots etc and send it back out. They may even just send a new/replacement so my feeling would be keep your HD and RAM if you upgraded it.
