Nope. They got a completely different Wifi card. We got the best possible one for use with OS X. They got one that will work, with a 3rd party driver and app. I thought they had a driver months ago, maybe this is for a different revision of the Wind or something. Our setup is a whole lot better, I've used that Realtek Wifi app in OS X on other machines in the past. It was such a hack, have to manually restore the connection each time the machine wakes up or boots up. It's too bad they couldn't get their driver to emulate a Broadcom Airport card.

actually, those drivers aren't that bad of a hack job.

i just installed a pci N card in my tower hackintosh and it works like a charm.

i recently sent my monitor to get fixed and had to restart the computer and after the restart it automatically connected to the network without me doing anything, which i couldnt do anyway cause i dont have a monitor.

it actually has an option to make the driver keep on checking to make sure its connected to the chosen router. so it constantly makes sure it stays connected.

i restart my router at least once a week and it automatically reconnects by itself.

of course, its not native airport but it works fine.
