Default creating a bootable usb stick with windows (xp) on os x? - 12-05-2009, 09:23 AM

i enjoy running os x on my 10v and apart from it getting quite warm I only miss two programs which are not available for os x so I need to install Windows.
As the dual boot seems to be quite complicated I thought I give VMWare Fusion a try. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work creating a bootable USB stick with Win XP the same way I did it with OS X. When using disc utility to restore the Win XP disc onto my USB drive (formatted with fat and as mbr) I get an error message with something .... can't be validated.
Could anyone tell me what to do?
best regards

Windows will not boot directly from a USB stick or other removable device, unfortunately.
