Problem with Method 4 - Direct Install from Mac to SSD/HDD - 12-03-2009, 10:02 PM
I got my RunCore drive yesterday, so I attempted to the direct to SSD installation as described on MechDrew's site. All was good until I go to the step where I had to run NetBookInstaller and install the general Extensions on the SSD. NBI kept on crashing!! I tried it many times. I even tried using all the versions (.2, .3 and .4). They all consistently crashed. So finally I had no choice but to use Bootmaker to install the drivers so I could boot up the netbook into OS X.
Is this normal? This was during a Snow Leopard installation. Not sure if that's unique to snow leopard. I plan on downgrading to Leopard tonight, so wanted to see if I can avoid that pitfall.
