Default What Is The Most Compatible NIC For OSX? - 11-21-2009, 12:25 AM

I don't own a Dell Mini, I bought a Samsung N130, and it came with the Realtek RTL8192E 802.11 B/G/N WiFi Card. Currently I can not find any drivers (kext) that will get this working with OSX 10.6.2.

My current search around others hackintosh boards has been less than helpful, you guys seem like a much more friendly community so I'm hoping you be able to recommend a 802.11 B/G/N NIC.

The slot I have is a half mini PCI-e slot, so Dell Mini peeps, what is the best NIC for my slot with OSX? I'm looking for one that's compatible straight out of the box, not one that I have to install a bunch drivers to get working. Even if it's a B/G card I'm cool with that.

Thanks for help in advance.

The Dell cards have Broadcom chips which OS X is quite happy with. The 1390 (or 1395) I think I have the right numbers is acheap < $20 on eBay b/g card. I think its the 1510 for the b/g/n card. As suggested above check out the OS X forums for more info.
