Yeah, and now that the netbook community has made this greatbig fuss over it, and it was all over the headlines, Apple can simply take the two kernels, run a diff report and see EXACTLY what they need to do to disable the Atom in the future.. It may have been accidental, but now they have a solution..

OTOH, looking at what we already have, that's really great, compared with the little things that the next minor updates could add. Even if we were stuck with 10.5.8 or 10.6.1 (plus some security updates maybe), that still leaves us with some nifty useful little macoids that will work for a long time.

(As for security updates -- how big are chances to get hit through some security hole? And someone who uses a hackintosh for security critical work is in desperate need for lessons anyway. For the rest, frequent backups will do.)
