I don't get it...

Updated the Bios to the A11 from the .com dell support site. Mini10 runs perfect on XP, but I still get the "you need to shut down the computer. press power button" message when the install from my external HD (via usb) starts.... What am I doing wrong??

I'll give it a shot without the dsdt.aml, see what happens..

It will unfortunately only be tonight, as I have a job....
I do run the std. screen Mini10, not sure if that may be the issue?

Hmm.. I think you're assuming that I have access to a OSX system. Sadly, I don't have access to one. I was thinking that is44c did it in Windows.

Sorry I actually did it on an OSX Dell Mini 10v.I think you need an OSX system to run NBI anyway? I got a chance to use the same USB disk to install on a Dell Mini 10. It works exactly the same as in the Dell Mini 12. Everything works except for Sleep and Audio. I couldn't get my friend's system to have 1024x576. The VBIOS only reports up to 800x576 when you do a "?video" at bootloader. I tried the Mini 10v kexts from NBI and still can't get Audio to work. Perhaps I should try to put DarylZero's kexts to the extensions folder inside Netbook Bootmaker instead...

When I press power button again, it works like waking from sleep and everything works immediately. Looks like it was the display driver having problem to sleep...

I had the same when first trying DarylZero's file. It looks like SleepEnabler.kext causing kernel panic. I replaced it with the SleepEnabler I got from inside NBI 0.8.3RC4 and it got me to boot and installed.

Oh ok... Making the restore with darylzero's files and Chameleon installed is the only part that I can not do. (see below)

[Making Installation Disk]
1. Format USB Memory A (HFS+, MBR)
2. Restore OSX DVD on USB Memory A
3. Install Chameleon 2 RC3 on USB Memory A
4. Copy ryuu123's files to USB Memory A
/boot
/DSDT.aml
/Extra

I was thinking that I can use TransMac to modify the NBI dmg file so that it would already contain darylzero's files.

Anyone knows where Chameleon 2 installs its files? (directory structure)

DarylZero, can you share how did you make sleep work? Do I need "boot" , dsdt.aml or smbios.plist to make it work? I had tried NBI without them and perhaps it is why it doesn't work for me?

Okay, tried again, with the dsdt removed, with no afjustments, with only boot copied, with boot & Extra copied, all of them, no go. Keep getting the same message... I do notice the last, partial readeable text, is something on kext...

What different between you and me?
