I'll add (basic) support for the Mini 10 and 12 in NetbookInstaller in the next release.

I'm also working on incorporating the 915resolution fix into chameleon so that you can have the full resolution supported by your lcd screen.

Dell Mini 10v | Mac OS X 10.6.5 | 1 GB RAM | 160 GB HDD | BIOS A06

This is great!!! Will you be working on Latitude 2100 as well? I found 2100 is great for comics reading with Simple Comics. Although calibration is not possible yet on 2100 but at it doen't matter when you are pressing and panning comics around. I can't get Latitude 2100 to sleep at all. The screen got black out for some time and then resumes again. Different to the case of Dell Mini 12 where display only freezes when sleep though you can actually resume successfully from this frozen display...

Who want's full lcd resolutions?

I've patched chameleon so that it can use the correct screen resolution (and thus, OS X can) for the mini 10 / 12. This has not been tested and should only be used if you know how to recover the bootloader (basically, if you have a usb boot disk).

I've only tested this on the mini 9 / 10v (setting the resolution to 1024x600), but it should work fine on the mini 10.

Two files are attached, one for each resolution (hd or std), however I am working on having chameleon auto detect the native lcd resolution.

Once I have the patch working with resolution detection (or just being cleaner), i'll upload the source code..

To install, just run the following command in the terminal
Code:
sudo cp /path/to/boot /boot
Attached Files
File Type: zip 1024x576 boot.zip (197.9 KB, 63 views)
File Type: zip 1366x768 boot.zip (197.9 KB, 92 views)

Default Kernel Panic on Install - 12-03-2009, 02:37 PM

I am using Netbook Bootmaker 0.8.3RC4 from Dell Mini 10 -Mini12 NetbookBootMaker 0.8.3 RC4.zip. I followed the guide at NetbookInstaller 1: USB Installation via Mac | Guides | OS X | mechdrew - but I'm using RC4 instead of RC3. I am unable to install on my mini 10. I get a kernel panic every time at about 19 minutes remaining.

Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, did you get past it somehow?

More Info: I flashed the BIOS to A11 and also tried booting in safe mode with "-x". The installer still kernel panics at about 19 min. to go.
