I'm also working on incorporating the 915resolution fix into chameleon so that you can have the full resolution supported by your lcd screen. I've patched chameleon so that it can use the correct screen resolution (and thus, OS X can) for the mini 10 / 12. This has not been tested and should only be used if you know how to recover the bootloader (basically, if you have a usb boot disk). I've only tested this on the mini 9 / 10v (setting the resolution to 1024x600), but it should work fine on the mini 10. Two files are attached, one for each resolution (hd or std), however I am working on having chameleon auto detect the native lcd resolution. Once I have the patch working with resolution detection (or just being cleaner), i'll upload the source code.. To install, just run the following command in the terminal Code: sudo cp /path/to/boot /boot Dell Mini 10v | Mac OS X 10.6.5 | 1 GB RAM | 160 GB HDD | BIOS A06 My Blog | NetbookInstaller code repository | NetbookInstaller Website | Want a Lockerz.com invite? message me. |

I followed the guide at NetbookInstaller 1: USB Installation via Mac | Guides | OS X | mechdrew - but I'm using RC4 instead of RC3. I am unable to install on my mini 10. I get a kernel panic every time at about 19 minutes remaining. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, did you get past it somehow? More Info: I flashed the BIOS to A11 and also tried booting in safe mode with "-x". The installer still kernel panics at about 19 min. to go. |
