Default Touchpad dies on wake - 10-20-2009, 03:58 PM

I'm running 10.5.7 via DellEFI and installed the latest touchpad drivers (v18 I believe) in order to get two finger scrolling working.

But when I put the machine to sleep, after it wakes up, the touchpad is either extremely slow or basically completely unresponsive. A reboot fixes the issue (until the machine goes to sleep again that is), but I'd like to know if anyone else has had this issue and what you all would recommend in my case to fix the bug.
