Question Mini 9 on 10.6.1 accepting 10.5 screen savers; MBP does not - 10-13-2009, 04:30 PM

Good afternoon!

I have installed 10.6.1 on my Mini 9 using the following method:
1 - Restore retail 10.6 to USB
2 - Use NBM 0.8.3 RC3 on USB
3 - Install 10.6 to Mini9
4 - Install all updates
5 - Run NBI
6 - Disable USB Legacy in BIOS

Everything works, reset, sleep, wifi, etc. What's odd is that it will run screen savers that aren't supposed to be compatible with 10.6... I have 3 on my Mini9 (In particular, KPSaver works) that have not been updated to work in 10.6... Any ideas, suggestions, etc on why this happens? For obvious reasons, I'm not *complaining* so much as trying to figure out the "why"... I'm under the impression that other than the bootloader, the system is pretty much retail... or is there more modified by NBI that might be related?
