Default Restoring PowerPC applications using Time Machine - 10-02-2009, 10:46 AM

I have installed Snow Leopard on my Mini 9 (2 GB RAM, 32 GB stock HD, no bluetooth) after some minor difficulty. Also, I used to own an Emac with Leopard loaded and a backup Macally drive enclosure with which I made Time Machine backups of my applications.
In the past, when I had Leopard installed on the Mini 9, I have tried a Time Machine restore of the applications with the result of having my Leopard install being hosed.
Does anyone know of a tip that can get me my old applications loaded onto my Mini 9? Thank you to everyone in advance!

You could manually go to the latest completed backup on the TM disk, the path is <your-time-machine-volume>/Backups.backupdb/<name-of-your-mac>/yyyy-mm-dd-hhmmss/ .

Find the Applications folder and drag the apps to the mini Applications folder. Do the same with the desired contents of Application Support, Preferences, etc in /Library and in /Users/<your-user>/Library.

Don't forget that running PPC apps on an Intel Mac requires Rosetta to be installed.
