Hi,
i shrunk my xp parition and got a flash drive with SL to lets me install even though it's not GUID (but MBR).
A bit before the end of the installation, i get an error.
I can now boot from the flash drive, select the OSX partition on my HD and it boots to OSX (i can take out the flash drive and work).
but it won't boot to the osx/xp without the flash drive in.
if i try to select the osx from disk startup, it tells me the the bless tool could not start from this disk.
any idea?

Not sure how you got it dual booting on MBR. I thought the drive had to be GUID to install SL.

there are plenty of guides online that show you how to patch your restored osx flash drive not to check partitioning scheme and to let you install snow leopard on an MBR disk.

which guide did you follow ?

i used a leopard xp guide for dual boot.
and a snow leopard guide for preparing the flash drive.
