I'm a brand new owner of a Mini 9, but it came *much* sooner than Dell predicted and I have not yet acquired a 32 GB SSD
I used NetbookBootMaker to build a USB-based Snow Leopard installer, and then used this to install SL onto another GUID-partitioned USB drive. I tried MBR first, as I believe this is the only partition scheme that can be booted from PeeCees, but the installer would not let me, so I gave it a shot with GUID.
I believe I have successfully installed SL onto this (GUID partitioned) USB drive, but as to be expected, I cannot boot into it, at least from the BIOS.
Is it possible to boot into this GUID flash drive from something like GRUB?
Can I copy the contents onto a MBR flash drive?
Is there some other way to make this work?
Many thanks in advance. It may be a few weeks before I can scrounge enough cash to upgrade the internal SSD
, and I'm jonesing for my baby hackintosh!
