So I use DellEFI + some patches, so that sound, video and _everything_ work as they should ... (can't get mirroring to work correctly with QE/CI when I install w/ NBI... ). I noticed your second script seems to have the # out of place for an initial line of a bash script... It should be #! instead of ! as its first character... I'm guessing this is just the aftermath of a few edits... others would have prolly noted it to you if it had been like that all along ... ?
