Default Can you do this from a Mac with Leopard on it? - 06-08-2010, 12:04 AM

I have a G5 PPC Running Leopard. I will not run OSX 10.6. Can I do this from Leopard or another way? The main reason I am doing this is because I dont have a 10.6 machine.
Thanks all.

Default Excellent, audio now works. - 08-04-2010, 02:37 AM

Brilliant. Works great. My Mac9 had been hung up with no audio for a year. Ran through your descriptions (I was already on the right version of Snow Leopard) and it all worked great. Thanks.

As for the microphone level, I wrote a script that can set the correct values on startup.
You can get it below (GetMicSound.zip).
If most feel that setting the speaker slider to 0 does help, I can incorporate that in the script.
You can run the script at anytime, I put it as my last startup item.

PS. Thanks for this thread.
If anyone is interested I might write a script to do all the steps automatically.
Just ask.

This is a really old thread, I would try this one-
Bundle for fixing Mini 9 Sound & Mic

It worked for me just adding the kexts and not even messing with the code.
