Thanks for your feedback - yea I was able to install Dropbox - I was just being picky with where I wanted it located. Looks like you need to leave it in the default location (in the Home folder).

Another mac noobie here. Does my external HD that is orange need to be formatted for mac? I currently have it as NTFS cause I was using it with my PC. None of these fixes have worked for me.

*I tried the fix from Axel but my External HD is Still orange.

My understanding is that some SL betas had working NTFS support. However it wasn't 100% so when Apple released SL they disabled it. If you search you can find instructions on how to re-enable it, requires some terminal commands.

You can also use NTFS-3G and MacFUSE to enable NTFS disc support. This method also works with Leopard. I've been accessing my Win 7 NTFS partition with it for months on my mini9 and now with my mini10v.

Another way is to use something like Panic's CandyBar. I use it on my Mac and netbook; it allows you to change the icons of hard drives, files, folders, and all programs it can find.
