Default Does SL seem slow/sluggish to anybody? - 09-06-2009, 06:00 PM

I have the dock on auto hide and it's a bit choppy coming in, unlike 10.5.8. Using photo booth, the camera seems choppy as well. Safari has delays in typing in the address and search fields.

Anybody else notice these things?

If you used an older versions of NBI (or one uploaded today or last night) then you need to repair permissions and reboot.

It sounds like QE/CI isn't enabled and repairing permissions should do that.

Hey thanks for reminding me, completely forgot to do that after install. I just repaired through disk utility and I'm not seeing any difference.

Also, is there any way to roll back to the 10.5.5 drivers for the trackpad? I was able to tap and drag with that version, doesn't seem like I'm able to even after check tapping and dragging in the pref pane.

I've being using it for 4 or 5 days now & actually it feels a lot quicker. Initially I thought it was just me with my 'new toy' lol but no really it does feel quicker.

I notice some definite choppyness using photo booth. I tried to record a video and it was like watching several still frames.

I've repaired permissions and no change...

I tried to run a different version of NI and repaired permissions and restarted and no longer had WIFI. Tried a few different things and just ended up reinstalling from USB. Everything works fine now. The noticeable lag in the dock auto hide is now gone, the screensaver and chess both run smoothly.

Video is, and always has been choppy for me when recording from the camera, but I'm happy now.
