Default Dell Mini 9 with Leopard- Cannot boot from CD - 08-16-2009, 11:43 PM

Hi folks,

I'm prepping my mini9 for sale, and want to reinstall from the Dell reinstallation DVD. I choose CD/DVD and external device as the first 2 items in the boot order, but they are ignored and OS X boots.

I've tried other boot CDs with no luck. OS X sees the external DVD reader/burner and can read the boot CDs.

Do I have to uninstall the Dell EFI program? If so, how do I do that?

Thanks in advance.

Did you enable USB Legacy support in the BIOS, if it isn't enabled, you can't boot from the DVD drive during start up.
