What I used was a external hard drive, but if you had, say the dmg file burned to a disk, or put on another usb stick, that would work too. What you will need. a 8GB USB Thumb Drive - duh! an external hard drive, or another thumb drive. (must be at least 8GB) a copy of your fav. flavor of hackintosh First, grab transmac, or macdrive, your choice. MacDrive: Mediafour | MacDrive TransMac:Acute Systems web site - I used both, but ended up using MacDrive, it was a lot easier to use than transmac. format the external drive as hfs+ (using the above tools). copy the dmg onto the newly formatted drive (using the above tools). Now go search for/download/and burn a copy of your fav hackintosh version of mac ... Google is your friend here. I used iDeneb. Google: Google OK so now that we have everything we need. Boot up with your fav. flavor of hackintosh. - Make sure both drives are plugged into the PC when you boot. iDeneb had issues recognizing new drives once it booted into the install... however Leo4All had no issues like that and i could hotplug in the usb disk without any issues... your flavor may vary. Pick a language to use, and say yes to the eula (if there is one on your flavor). Once install starts, go to Utilities (at the top) and go to Disk Utilities. You should see 3 (or) 4 disk. - the PC hard drive (which we dont want to mess with) - the External hard drive (or pen drive) that is formated as hfs+ - the target 8GB thumb drive that we will turn into the install dvd. - (some flavors of hackentosh show) the CDROM * again your mileage may vary * so right click on the HFS drive, and mount it. go to the target usb stick and partition it as 1 hfs+partition then restore the target usb stick, click on images, and search the external hd for the dmg file you copied earlier. it should show up now as a disk image on the left hand pane. Just mount it. next drag the mounted disk image of the Mac Install DVD into the source section on the restore area of the target usb pen drive. and then drag the target usb pen drive as the destination. from here on out you can continue following the aforementioned guides on how to install vanilla mac os x on a dell mini 9. Hope this guide helps ![]() Working Triple Boot Guide |
