I used the dell efi method with a leopard 10.5.6 retail disk and an external drive. The install took me a couple of hours and everything worked exactly as described in the guide. Ive since updated to 10.5.7 and am loving my fully functional osx netbook! Previous to this I haven't had much mac experience, although I have built a bunch of windows and a few Linux boxes in my day. After getting my mini going I found out that all the parts of my vista desktop were osx compatible. I now have 2 fully functioning hacintoshes! Thanks to all the geniuses on this board and the insanely mac forum for figuring this stuff out and making it easy for us amateurs!
Im looking forward to snow leopard too, but I imagine that it might take a little while after the release for the hackintosh community to make new installers and work out the bugs. It seems like the leopard methods are pretty mature, so for the time being that might be an easier way to go.
