Default Itunes audio plugins not working, any ideas? - 08-09-2009, 05:13 PM

Hi
I have a 10v running OS X 10.5.8.
I have a great plugin which i run on my other mac called "volume Logic", it makes the audio sound fantastic. The problem is it does not work on my 10v. it installs and loads fine and i can get the window to appear in itunes but it does not appear to be processing the sound (this is usually indicated by a moving graphic equalizer and an obvious boost to the volume).
I thought i may work once the crackly audio after sleep was fixed but this has not been the case.
Any ideas?

Thanks

I'm going to make a guess and say you're not running 10.5.8 on the mac running Volume Logic.

That's kind of magical, since it looks like it's no longer supported. How do you get it to work on your Macs?

Well, if it's running the same way on all three machines, then it's the environment on the Mini that's the problem. I don't know exactly how VL does its magic but it must be relying on a hardware function that the Mini isn't providing. Short of getting lucky with one of the alternative audio kexts floating around, I bet you will not be able to get Volume Logic up and running.

You may want to consider work-arounds-- a USB sound card or a different program might save you some consternation.
