Default Virtual Box on Mini9 - 08-09-2009, 04:51 PM

Hi all,
I need to run one Windows app on my OS X install. I tried Codeweavers crossover pro. No lunch. Couldn't create an XP bottle.

So, I thought about Virtual Box. However, I can't install Win XP from my Dell restore disks. I'm not going to purchase a WinXP disk to do this. Any idea how to use my Dell disks to do this?

TIA,
JWA in KY

Unfortunately, it seems that you will need to install XP to be able to use it. However, it is possible to create an install disc from a working XP install:

How to Create a Bootable Windows XP Setup CD/DVD from a Pre-loaded/Preinstalled Windows System (howtohaven.com)

It requires a USB DVD burner, but I presume that you know that, right?
