To people having problem with wake after sleep on Mini 9, using the kext in the link below instead of the one bundled might fix the problem.
http://stashbox.org/596502/mini9-stec-1058-sleep.zip

First of all, I am the guy who did the original work to support sleep on Mini 9.

The preinstalled SSDs of Mini 9 (made by STEC) have a problem that they fail to function after sleep and the workaround I implemented was to reset them on wake after sleep (other SSDs sold in aftermarket does not have the same problem). From what I understand, this is the same approach that is used in recent installers.

In OSX 10.5.8, the PATA driver was updated, and the old driver with aforementioned workaround no more seems to be working (at least not on my mini 9). So I have re-applied the fix to the driver bundled on 10.5.8, and they are working for me.

Worked like a charm! Thanks!

Could you let me know what I need to do with this file?

Thanks

Just want to throw my $0.02 here. Sleep works for me on lid close mostly. I've maybe had it hang once in the past few days of using it (been working on it a lot). Specs are below:

Running 10.5.8 on a 32GB Runcore, 2GB of RAM, Mini 9 w/ BIOS A05.

USB Legacy support set to Disabled, Wake on USB Disabled, rest of BIOS settings at default.

Using DellEFI 1.2a5, regenerated DSDT, disable Hibernate, reinstalled Kexts, reinstalled Cham bootloader. I'm also using v18 of meklort's touchpad driver. Nothing else additional.

Anything I might be missing?

Sold my Mini 9 for a larger netbook, one that's easier on my wrists and hands.
Current Machine: 2010 MacBook Pro 13", 2.4 GHz C2D, 4GB RAM, Win7 Pro x64/OS X 10.6.3

And I play with my girlfriend's Mini 10v ^_^.

Interested in using MATLAB on the Mini 10v? Check out my benchmarks!

Works perfectly!! Brilliant, solved one of my biggest peeves with 10.5.8!!

I installed it by downloading kext helper, dragging the .kext file over to it then choosing easy install.
Then I opened the UpdateExtra app, rebooted and tested it out, perfect :P

I did the exact same... except I put the .kext file and the patch file into kext helper. Probably wasn't needed to do the patch file, not sure what it was for... but its working perfectly now all day.

I just restore 10.5.7 from my TM backup to avoid the sleep problem.

Everybody confirm that installing this kext fixes the sleep pb?

Oh yay! You absolute star! Wifi a little slow to respond on wake but takes only around 5 seconds to find itself and all is well both on ac and on battery.

It works, sleep is now back to how it was before... working, fantastic, thank you so much.
