i think someone said deleting the dsdt.aml file and then regenerating it without restarting in between restored sleep functionality for them

Let me know if anyone has tried to delete and re-create the custom dsdt.aml file without rebooting solves the issue. Let me know if you selected any other options besides removing and creating the file. Was anything checked automatically that you didn't uncheck.

I'm away from my mini for a few hours while in a meeting and will try when I get back to it myself.

Here's what I tried:
1. Safe boot, remove dsdt.aml, reboot, safe boot, new dsdt.aml
2. Safe boot, remove dsdt.aml, new dsdt.aml
3. Regular boot, remove dsdt.aml, regular boot, new dsdt.aml
4. Regular boot, remove dsdt.aml, new dsdt.aml

All 4 scenarios are not enabling close lid, menu sleep.

thanks!

I bailed and restored my backup back to 10.5.7. I'll see if this gets fixed or if things get setup for snow leopard. I ordered my family pack today on amazon. Just waiting for the release!

Going to try BAF's safe seep / hibernation method once I've backed up current installation. If that fails, shall also bail out and restore to 10.2.7. Pity though.

Could this be a bios issue? To anyone with working sleep...what bios version are you running?

Can you restore 10.5.7 from a "running" system (i.e. while running 10.5.8), or you need to boot from the CD and then install from a time machine backup?

Thanks,

Sleep is working with 10.5.8 only if AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext is installed AND loaded.

Code:
Aug 8 16:30:40 localhost kernel[0]: AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: initialization complete
