Type11 DellEFI Installer problem - 08-05-2009, 01:51 PM
Last night I followed the instructions here: How To: Hackintosh a Dell Mini 9 Into the Ultimate OS X Netbook - Dell mini 9 hackintosh guide - Gizmodo to turn my mini 9 into a Mac. I followed the directions for the USB drive method and evrything worked great until step 17.
Once the bootloader loads, I press ESC, hit 80, and it kicks me back out to the hd0 or hd1 screen. If I hit hd0, it justs reloads the bootloader again.
If I hit 81 (OSXDVD), it rolls back into the OSX install.
If I hit ESC while hd1 is highlighted, I see something that looks like the apple files loading but it hangs on an uptime in nanoseconds screen.
Also, before the bootloader goes to the selection screen, I can briefly see a message about the com.apple.boot.plist not found
I should be noted that I used syslinux 3.8.2 and downloaded and installed the 10.5.7 update if any of that matters.
Anyone got any suggestions as to how to get the DellMini9Utils folder to load and the mini 9 .kexts loaded in step 17 from where I'm at?
