With netbook installer you can also select a target. Assuming it has a supported os version (10.5.4), it'll let you install as if you booted off of the drive. So after you mirror the disk, just run netbook installer and tell it to install the bootloader onto the new drive. You'll probably want to test it out afterwords to make sure it works.

meklort, thats just what i wanted, althoug I have an ext. CD drive, I want to do it without if possible. In principle it worked, the Mini started booting from the stick, but I had a kernel panic during startup, not shure what its all about, must check tomorrow ...
If I decide to use an ext. drive, I could simply do the mirroring with clonezilla, couldn't I? Has anyone tried that?
