Default Mini 10v OS X any mic fix yet? - 07-16-2009, 08:37 PM

Hi all I had a good dig through the OS X thread started by Anguish and was hoping for a mic fix but can't see on there... is there a fix out yet?

I thought I'd give it a week or so to see what happened but can't see anything yet. I might just buy a USB audio device anyway so that would solve the audio crackling problem after sleep.

Many thanks in advance!

Question about the internal mic and 10v OS X...

Is it possible to get the internal mic to work at all? I just installed OS X on my 10v and got sound to work, but when i try to skype, my mic only transmits clicking noises.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer.
Thanks everyone for the help.

As of today, there is still no fix. I posted in another thread about which USB mic to go for and I'v opted for this one:

There are many made by Logitech, here's the link:

I might go for a headset though, I'll see what my son prefers. Once he makes up his mind I'll post back and let you know how it performs.

I'm sure I haven't uncovered anything new, but has someone who knows more than I do taken a look at /var/log/system.log? VoodooHDA seems to be pretty verbose about what it's doing.

tried the voodoo hda and the new method referred by anguish (100% vanilla compatible method): both worked for speakers, but not the internal mic. Only reading this post made me realize that maybe the internal mic just doesn't work? bummer.
