Question Boot:0 Error - 07-11-2009, 11:37 AM

Hey Guys.

Have been doing a bit of searching for this issue i've been having but haven't been able to come up with a solid answer so far.

I've been using 10.5 for a while on my Mini 9, but the other day when I went to turn on my mini, I got this error before the boot loader

boot0:GPT
boot0:testing
boot0:testing
boot0:done_

The only way I can get OSX to boot is to use my USB key with the syslinux bootloader on it, and specify to boot off '81'. Once i'm in OSX everything is as normal... except I don't have sound.

This is kinda weird because all the other threads i've been able to pull up about it only relate to people who have just installed OS X. I've been running it fine now for ages.

So far i've reinstalled DellEFI to try and fix the problem, and have also marked the partition active using FDISK. So far no luck.

I'd like to avoid a format if possible.
