Default BestBuy Dell Mini 1010 OS X possible? - 07-09-2009, 05:30 PM

I got a Dell mini 1010 from BestBuy and can't get Leopard to install. I've read the guides and followed the instructions. It appears the Dell mini 1011 will run but not the 1010?
Any advancements in dealing with the GMA500 graphics chip?

don't hold your breath. you'll be waiting until apple supports the gma500, unless you have access to the source code and don't mind recompiling your own operating system.

There has been some progress with the GMA950, in that you can now boot with it, however you will not be able to get QE or hardware acceleration to work.
The only way to do that is to write a kext / driver for it, and PowerVR won't release a datasheet for it unless if you are one of their partners (like intel is).
