1) Firstly, has anyone actually managed to run the Mini 9 with an external monitor with the internal display completely off?

I've seen several threads where people say this can be done, mainly by hitting Fn + 8 at startup. But as far as I can tell this doesn't work. While the internal monitor will be turned off with the external as the primary display, OS X simply won't load past the light blue screen.

Anyone have a solution to that?

2) Secondly, even with the DellEFI 1.2a5 and the new Chameleon boot loader, my Apple logo at startup is still the stretched (800x600) resolution instead of the native one. I have the latest BIOS update as well.

I've seen Mini 9's with the correct resolution myself, so I know it can be done, but for some reason simply installing the new EFI doesn't work for me.
