Question how to use useless keys - 07-01-2009, 11:04 AM

Hello all,
I have been trying to make the "dead" or "useless" keys on the keyboard (namely the first one on the right of the space bar - I call it "the this way that way" key, and the one on the right of the "up" key - the one with the little 2 on it).
I've tried all the available softwares, but it seems the system just does not see those keys.
Has anyone figured out a way out of this ?
The only other issue I have is withe the "at" key, so needed for email addresses. I'm on a french kbr, the kbr viewer tells me the "at" is one the third from top row, last on right key with the UK pound sign, but that key is dead - no at, no pound sign.
Am I the only one to face this problem?

all info and ideas most most welcome, I'm not exactly a rocket scientist when it comes to such tech things!
cheers!

The first key on the right of the space bar IS the Apple (command) key. It's not dead and it is where it is supposed to be.

Try the keyboard viewer to see if it registers anything when you press the key.
