I have sound but I'm having all sort of issues with both bleutooth sound and an external USB sound dongle. Both worked before for me when I'd done a DellEFI 1.1 install.

I just dropped back to DellEFI v 1.1, choose to re-install both the bootloader and the Dell Mini 9 extensions and rebuild the dtsl file. Now I have my USB sound device and bluetooth sound.

So there definitely is a difference between the 2 operations and I'd call it a bug since I loose functionality with the NetbookInstaller vs DellEFI v 1.1

I haven't tried DellEFI v 1.2a to see if it the chamelion bootloader vs the EFI bootloader that makes a difference (assuming the extensions installed by the 2 are the same.)

Do you have 8.1 installed? There was an issue with sound with the previous version. Not sure of that will fix it for you or not.

Did I miss this issue already? I can't turn off bluetooth. I tried the fix bluetooth but that didn't work either. Is this a bug? Is there a fix that I missed? Everything else seems to be working great still. Been running this method since it came out. Thanks.

To turn off Bluetooth you have to restart and click 0 as the computer is booting now change the status of bluetooth in the BIOS, or whatever that windows thingy is called .
Save and continue the boot.

For the mini 9, we use the same kext that dellefi does. The main difference is it is loaded from /Extra as well as a few other kets copied in from /S/L/E to satisfy dependencies. Other than that, it should be the same.

The bluetooth fix is included w/ NetbookInstaller, although it hasn't been tested. If currently places the patched file in /Extra and if that doesn't work, may need to be changed to /S/L/E

Thanks. Not trying to turn it off that way though. Trying to turn it within the OS.

Yeah I saw it there and used it but it didn't do anything.

Also has anyone experienced any issues when hooking up an external monitor? I just tried it and it totally freezes my mini up as soon as I plug it in. When I unplug the monitor it stays frozen.

Try using the mirror friendly gma kext option. Then once you have your monitors setup without mirroring switch to the other gma kext. That's what it took me to get it to work.
