Right now there is a logic bug w/ NetbookInstaller. You need to re run it selecting install extensions, and dsdt options. Without both selected, files will be missing for the next boot.

The 10.5.6 kernel will be removed automatically in future versions.

Thank you. I had to reboot from the USB drive and run NetbookInstaller from there, but so far, that seems to have fixed the problem.

Perhaps a foolish question: Did you mean S10 or 10v ? ? ?

I am trying to us NetbookBootMaker 0.8.1 to reinstall 10.5.7 on my mini 9. When I originally installed I used a 250gb WD passport (usb) with a properly formatted partition on it but also a separate windows partition and everything went fine. When I try to use NetbookBootMaker following the installation guide I use disk utility to restore my 10.5.0 disc onto the partition then run NetbookBootMaker, restart and press 0, pick "+USB Storage", then it flashes three lines about boot0 or something and then ... nothing but a black screen with a - and a flashing line below it. Does this mean I can't install using my 2 partition drive?

EDIT: I changed all the spots where I previously said "NetbookInstaller" to NetbookBootMaker. When I first wrote the post I had the name of the program wrong. NetbookBootMaker is definitely what i used.

Use the NetbookBootMaker, not NetbookInstaller on your restored dvd partition.

S10 is correct, although it can be extended to 10v as well.

oops, you are right, I used netbookBootMaker on the partition. Not NetbookInstaller.

Edit: I ran DellEFIBootMaker 0.3.3 on the same partition and it let me boot up and start installation without any problems.

Default Thanks - 07-02-2009, 11:39 PM

I used netbookmaker and netbook installer v .80 and was able to successfully install 10.5.0 then upgrade to 10.5.7.
everything seems to be working fine.
The only problem, it just happened after I thought it was solved, if it goes to sleep I might loose the sound output. Not input though.
Overall, you guys did a great job.
If I could be of any assistance... let me know

I used .8.0 to load OS X on my 10v... what benefits to I have to run version .8.1? Or should I wait for another version?

Thanks

There is an audio bug with 0.8... use Netbookinstaller from 0.8.1 to fix that.
