Default OSX and Virtual Memory/Paging - 06-30-2009, 02:36 PM

Hi,

I have windows 7 and mac osx on my mini 9 (Thanks to all the hardwork people put into this forum as without it i wouldnt have got OSX installed :-)). I have a 1GB machine with 32GB runcore and in my Windows 7 installation i have remove Page file usage. I suppose this will make machine a bit quicker and avoid over use of the SSD. Is there something similar in OSX? i know SSDs have a limited write life and anything to help is worth doing.

I was also thinking if i need to upgrade to 2g but 1GB seems fine, both Windows and OSX seem to only be around 500mb used. Then again i only do a bit of browsing etc.

Cheers
Andrew
