Default Removing Flash Drive from Mini 9? - 06-24-2009, 07:57 AM

Newb question - Do you have to specifically find a "safely remove hardware" option to remove a USB/Flash drive from the Mini 9? If so, where do you find this option on Ubuntu 8 or 9?

In general, no - Windows typically treats USB drives as safe for removal, though it never hurts to to do the "safely remove". I don't know what Ubuntu does - you may want to ask in the Ubuntu section of the forum as this is not hardware-specific.

In regular Ubuntu, right-click on the desktop icon for the drive and choose "Unmount Volume".

If you're using the netbook remix version, I think you can do something similar.

Mini 9 | Intel 5100 Wifi | Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook
Mini 1012 | SSD | Intel 6200 Wifi | Ubuntu 11.10 64bit
