Default OneNote and EverNote alternatives for both Windows and OS X? - 06-17-2009, 01:13 PM

Personally, I prefer OneNote. I've been trying EverNote, but I don't like it at all, especially since they want you to have a bloody account with them. Sync'ing between machines really isn't a big deal to me. As well, I've read some BS spewed forth from those running the company that I don't like either.

Since Microsoft doesn't have a version of OneNote for OS X, I'm looking for recommendations. I'm tempted to just go to a text file-based system and use DropBox to sync everything, but I don't like that either, especially since I like to clip images and have notes to go along with them.

If EverNote is my only option, I may be stuck with it then, but I really don't like the way they do business.

I'm... not sure if this is the answer your looking for Ang but...

In Microsoft Word 2008 you can use a view called "Notebook View" which is not available in Office 2007 for Windows (probably because it has One Note I speculate).
